World English Bible I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to Sheol with those who descend into the pit; and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the lower parts of the earth.

Puis, dans le schéol, le séjour des morts. Les nations que le glaive d'Assur y a fait descendre sont consolées, en voyant ce roi si puissant, avec ses vassaux (verset 17), partager le sort qu'il leur a fait subir ; comparez Esaïe 14.6-20.

Tous les arbres d'Eden : les rois de tous ces peuples détruits, qui sont descendus dans le sombre séjour.
