World English Bible I, even I, do bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.

Et moi... : Voilà ce que tu feras, car moi, voici ce que je vais faire.

Le déluge : en hébreu mabboul, de jabal, couler, ce mot ne se trouve que dans ce récit et dans Psaumes 29.10, où il est fait allusion à notre passage. Cette expression était sans doute vieillie et devenue une sorte de nom propre ; car l'auteur trouve nécessaire de l'expliquer : une inondation de la terre.
