En se penchant sur la sainte Parole et en particulier sur l'évangile, le grand désir de notre âme doit être de « discerner » Jésus ; Le voir en tant que « partenaire » spirituel, rester en communion avec Lui, en recevant Sa Grâce !

Cet appel des Grecs (versets Jean 12:20-21*) a magnifié le Rédempteur. Un grain de blé ne peut produire s'il n'est mis en terre. Christ aurait pu ainsi rester seul dans Sa Gloire céleste, sans partager notre nature humaine. Il aurait pu alors entrer au ciel seul, par Sa propre Justice, parfaite, sans souffrance, ni mort à la croix ; en un tel cas, nul pécheur n'aurait pu être sauvé...

Le salut de l’âme n’est du qu’à la mort de Christ, le « Grain de blé ». Recherchons s’Il est véritablement pour nous l’objet de toute espérance, par Sa Gloire ; implorons Le, afin qu’Il nous rende indifférents aux intérêts insignifiants de ce monde, et que nous puissions Le servir en tant que Seigneur, d’un esprit bien disposé, et suivre Son saint exemple !
