Je sacre, littéralement : je sanctifie. Comparez 6.4. Nous avons déjà dit que toute entreprise guerrière, chez les Gentils comme en Israël, était inaugurée par la religion. Ici, c'est le Dieu d'Israël lui-même qui préside à ces apprêts, et qui envoie à leur propre insu les dévastateurs.
