Et son nom : le nom de la ville restaurée ; littéralement : elle sera pour moi un nom de joie... Le seul nom de Jérusalem prononcé au milieu de ces peuples sera pour Dieu un sujet de joie, en ce qu'il fera éclater sa louange et tournera ainsi à sa gloire.

Elles trembleront et frémiront. Le prophète veut parler d'une crainte salutaire qui saisira les nations païennes à la vue des bénédictions extraordinaires accordées à ce peuple d'Israël qu'elles ont si longtemps méprisé et opprimé. Cette crainte préparera leur pleine soumission à Jéhova.
