30 à 32 L'orage se prépare.

Dieu étend sur lui-même sa lumière, la lumière où il habite, dont les éclairs ne sont que des manifestations partielles.

Il se couvre des profondeurs de la mer, littéralement : Il a pris pour couverture les racines de la mer, les nuées épaisses formées par l'évaporation des océans. Notre verset fait allusion aux alternatives de lumière et de ténèbres qui se produisent dans les orages.
