Toutes les villes près d'Asdod. C'est peut-être dans cette périphrase que se trouve comprise Askalon, qu'on est surpris de ne pas trouver dans cette liste. L'absence de Gath s'explique par sa position beaucoup plus orientale : il allait de soi qu'elle devait appartenir à Juda.
