Josué 9.17

Les Israélites partirent et arrivèrent dans leurs villes le troisième jour. Ces villes sont : Gabaon, Kephira, Beéroth et Qiryath-Yearim.
En effet, après avoir quitté leur camp, ils parvinrent à leurs villes le troisième jour de marche, c’est-à-dire à Gabaon, Kephira, Beéroth, et Qiryath-Yearim.

World English Bible The children of Israel traveled and came to their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, Chephirah, Beeroth, and Kiriath Jearim.

Immédiatement après, les Israélites partent pour traiter cette peuplade et ses villes comme elles l'ont mérité ; ils y arrivent le sixième jour après la conclusion de l'alliance.

Képhira, aujourd'hui Kéfir, à 12 km environ à l'ouest de Gabaon.

Bééroth, aujourd'hui Bireh, à 12 km au nord de Jérusalem, ou, selon d'autres, Biddou, au sud-ouest et plus près de Gabaon.

Kiriath-Jéarim, à la frontière de Juda et de Benjamin, aujourd'hui Kuryet-el-Enab, sur la route de Jérusalem à Lydde. Les deux premières de ces villes furent assignées à la tribu de Benjamin, la dernière à celle de Juda.
