Au jour du sabbat.

Repos complet, littéralement : repos du repos. Le mot schabbathon se trouve pour la première fois dans Exode 20.8, et l'expression complète : schabbath schabbathon, Exode 21.15, où nous l'avons rendue par : un jour de complet repos. Elle est appliquée au sabbat (Exode 35.2-3), au jour de l'Expiation (Lévitique 16.31, et dans notre chapitre verset 32) et à l'année sabbatique (Lévitique 25.4), qui sont les fêtes d'origine mosaïque.

Dans tous les lieux que vous habiterez, c'est-à-dire : dans tous les districts de la terre d'Israël. Cette traduction est plus exacte que celle qui a été employée Exode 35.3 : dans toutes vos demeures.
