La colère de Dieu atteint tout d'abord les monuments de l'idolâtrie : les colonnes solaires (voir Ezéchiel 6.4, note) et les idoles ; abattues, celles-ci ressemblent à des cadavres de dieux gisant pêle-mêle avec ceux des Israélites égorgés.

Vous aura en dégoût : énergique contrepartie du verset 11. La profonde aversion de Dieu pour le mal et pour celui qui s'y livre obstinément peut seule expliquer de telles malédictions.
