Michée 1.15

Marésa signifie possession, héritage. Le premier possesseur qui lui a été amené, c'est Israël, qui l'a conquise sur les Cananéens ; le nouveau, c'est l'ennemi qui va s'en emparer. Le nom de Marésa (Josué 15.44) se retrouve aujourd'hui dans celui de la ruine de Marasch, dans la plaine de Juda.

La noblesse, littéralement : la gloire, d'Israël, la fleur de la nation (Esaïe 5.13).

A Adullam : pour y chercher un refuge dans la caverne qui s'y trouve, comme jadis David fuyant devant Saül (1Samuel 22.4). La situation d'Adullam est inconnue ; mais cet endroit devait être voisin de Bethléem (2Samuel 23.13 et suivants). C'est à Jérusalem que résident les grands, ils fuient vers le sud. L'ennemi vient du nord.
