Il portera donc sans se plaindre les conséquences de ses fautes et attendra patiemment. Car il sait aussi que, quand la justice divine sera satisfaite, le Dieu juste le délivrera.Qu'il prenne ma cause..., me fasse droit... : qu'il me défende contre les païens, au lieu de me faire la guerre (6.1). La puissance païenne, exécutrice, du jugement de Dieu, n'a pas compris qu'elle n'était qu'un instrument ; elle a bafoué le Dieu d'Israël et voulu détruire ce peuple ; elle a ainsi blessé le droit d'Israël, dont Dieu, par cela même, doit prendre la défense.
