Néhémie 12.43

Ce jour-là, les Israélites ont offert de nombreux sacrifices et se sont livrés à des réjouissances, car Dieu leur avait donné un grand sujet de joie. Même les femmes et les enfants se sont livrés aux réjouissances, et l’on a entendu de loin les cris de joie de Jérusalem.

World English Bible They offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

Les femmes et les enfants n'avaient pas fait partie des cortèges, mais prirent part aux repas de sacrifices. Comme la personne de Néhémie n'avait pas grande importance à propos des sacrifices, ceci est raconté objectivement, à la troisième personne, comme on l'a fait pour les préparatifs de la fête, verset 27 et suivants, tandis qu'on emploie la première personne pour tout ce qu'il avait à diriger personnellement (versets 34, 38 et 40).
