Ils mettront mon, nom sur... Ils le feront reposer sur l'assemblée en le prononçant par trois fois sur elle. Le nom de Dieu est Dieu lui-même pour autant qu'il s'est déjà fait connaître à son peuple. Toute la plénitude des grâces renfermées dans la révélation divine est ainsi appelée sur le peuple par le sacrificateur qui prononce cette bénédiction.

Et moi... Et moi de mon côté ; en conséquence de cette parole prononcée. Cette bénédiction sacerdotale ne sera pas un vœu impuissant, comme si ce n'était qu'une parole humaine. Celui qui l'a mise dans la bouche du sacrificateur saura lui donner l'efficacité.
