Comme un père... Après avoir rappelé tout ce qu'il y a de plus grand dans la création, pour dépeindre l'amour de Dieu, le psalmiste parle de ce qu'il y a de plus intime dans notre cœur, de cette émotion profonde et puissante qui s'empare du cœur d'un père, à la vue de la faiblesse ou de la souffrance de son enfant. Celui qui a fait le cœur du père n'aimerait-il pas ? (Comparez Psaumes 94.9) En Jésus-Christ, ce qui, sous l'ancienne alliance, n'était encore qu'une image est devenu réalité. Dieu n'est plus pour nous comme un Père, il est devenu notre Père (Matthieu 5.48 ; 6.6).
