World English Bible Yahweh has made himself known. He has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah.

16 à 19 Le sort des oppresseurs. L'idée du salut, par laquelle se termine la strophe précédente, devient de nouveau dominante. Tandis que Dieu retire du Schéol le misérable qui crie à lui, les païens, ennemis de l'Eternel, y descendent, par un acte de la justice divine, qui les prend dans leurs propres pièges. C'est ce que David à constaté dans la victoire remportée (versets 16 et 17) et ce qu'il annonce comme devant se reproduire à l'avenir (versets 18 et 19).
