Ces mots sont d'une interprétation peu sûre. Quelques-uns traduisent : Mais il n'en est pas ainsi du cœur des insensés (ils ne répandent pas la science). Ce sens est bien peu frappant, l'antithèse est par trop simple. Nous préférons prendre le mot ken comme un adjectif : droit, vrai, solide. Voir déjà 11.19. Les insensés ne peuvent absolument pas avoir autour d'eux la bonne influence qu'exercent les sages ; il leur manque pour cela solidité, droiture ; ils ne sont eux-mêmes pas au clair.
