Zacharie 8.3

Je suis revenu. C'est ainsi que nous croyons devoir traduire le verbe qui est au passé, et non pas (comme plusieurs, je reviendrai. L'Eternel rappelle ce qu'il a déjà fait en ramenant son peuple à Sion et en y fixant désormais sa demeure.

La ville de vérité. On pourrait expliquer : la ville où Dieu révèle la vérité... mais, d'après le verset 18, il est plus naturel d'entendre la ville où régnera désormais la fidélité ; où les paroles par lesquelles le peuple honore son Dieu seront une vérité.

La montagne de l'Eternel. La montagne de Sion sera le lieu où l'Eternel résidera et déploiera sa sainteté.
