וַיַּ֨עַל דָּוִ֤יד וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בַּעֲלָ֔תָה אֶל־קִרְיַ֥ת יְעָרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר לִיהוּדָ֑ה לְהַעֲל֣וֹת מִשָּׁ֗ם אֵת֩ אֲר֨וֹן הָאֱלֹהִ֧ים ׀ יְהוָ֛ה יוֹשֵׁ֥ב הַכְּרוּבִ֖ים אֲשֶׁר־נִקְרָ֥א שֵֽׁם׃

David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath Jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God Yahweh that sits above the cherubim, that is called by the Name.

Que le péché d'Uzza puisse nous mettre en garde, afin de ne pas de commettre d'imprudence, de mauvais jugement ou d'irrévérence, face à la Sainteté divine; que personne ne pense qu'une conception personnelle, soi-disant bonne, justifiera une mauvaise action. Que la punition d'Uzza nous enseigne à ne pas oser déprécier la Sainteté de Dieu, quand nous nous approchons de Lui ; par contre, en Christ, approchons-nous avec hardiesse, du trône de la Grâce. Si l'évangile peut présenter pour certains, une « impression » de contrainte et de mort, comme ce fut le cas avec l'arche, pour Uzza, recevons-le au contraire avec amour dans notre cœur, et il saura alors enrichir toute notre vie !
