Les Philistins livrèrent bataille et Israël fut vaincu. Chacun s’enfuit sous sa tente et ce fut une très lourde défaite : Israël perdit trente mille hommes.

      Lévitique 26

      17 I will set my face against you, and you will be struck before your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you; and you will flee when no one pursues you.

      5 Alas Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!
      6 I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me will I give him a command to take the spoil and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
