Mais il nous répondit : — Pourquoi ces larmes ? Vous me fendez le cœur ! Vous voulez me décourager ? Vous savez bien que je suis prêt, non seulement à être emprisonné, mais encore à mourir à Jérusalem pour le nom du Seigneur Jésus.
Then Paul answered, "What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."

World English Bible Then Paul answered, "What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."

Quelle sensibilité dans cet homme énergique qui était prêt au sacrifice de sa vie !

C'est ainsi qu'il répond au tendre intérêt de ses frères.

Mais, déjà à Milet, il a déclaré que le sacrifice de sa vie était accompli dans son cœur. (Actes 20.24) Dieu l'appelle, il ira ; tel est le vrai héroïsme.
