Ils haïssent à la porte... Celui qui se fait l'organe de la vérité et censure courageusement les péchés régnants, est détesté de tous. La porte de la ville est le lieu où le peuple se réunit et où se passent toutes les transactions (Ruth 4.1 ; Deutéronome 25.7 ; Psaumes 127.5) ; c'est là qu'on lui fait sentir le mécontentement qu'il excite.
