Pardonner aux autres comme Dieu nous a pardonné, tels sont à la fois la règle et le tout-puissant motif de la conduite du chrétien envers ceux dont il a à se plaindre. (Comparer Ephésiens 5.1, et surtout Colossiens 3.12 et suivants)
