4 à 10 Ne doute point, car le temps de la colère est passé, et ton Dieu fait avec toi une alliance éternelle !

La jeunesse de Sion désigne l'époque où Dieu l'a choisie et tirée d'une condition misérable pour faire d'elle son épouse (voir Jérémie 2.2 ; Ezéchiel 16.60,6 et suivants). La honte de sa jeunesse est donc la servitude d'Egypte. L'opprobre du veuvage : l'exil ; voyez 49.21 ; 50.1.
