Dès le sein de ma mère, c'est-à-dire sans aucun mérite de ma part, sans égard possible à mes œuvres. (Romains 9.11 ; Esaïe 44.2 ; 49.1 ; Jérémie 1.5 ; Psaumes 139.15,16)

- Le texte reçu porte : "Quand il plut à Dieu qui..." ce mot n'est pas authentique. Notre version rétablit la vraie leçon.

Paul a été merveilleusement conduit à connaître Christ, par la foi.

Tous ceux qui sont sauvés, convertis, sont en fait appelés par la Grâce de Dieu ; leur conversion est ainsi « forgée » par le pouvoir de ce Dernier, par l’œuvre de la Grâce. Il n'y aurait qu'un avantage limité si Christ n’était révélé uniquement « qu’à » nous-mêmes, en fait, Il est aussi « en » nous !

Paul s'est préparé à obéir instantanément au Seigneur, sans hésitation, sans chercher à garder quelque intérêt ici-bas, ni confort, ni agrément. Quel beau sujet d’action de grâce et de joie dans nos églises, quand elles voient de tels exemples, à la gloire du Seigneur, par Sa Grâce, même si elles n’ont jamais connu l’apôtre ! En fait, ces louanges glorifient Dieu pour Sa Puissance et Sa Miséricorde, en sauvant des personnes telles que Paul, pour le bénéfice de Ses enfants et les avantages futurs qui en découlent !
