Hordes. Ce mot rappelle bien la description qui nous a été donnée (1.6-11) de la férocité et de l'impétuosité sauvage des Chaldéens.

De ses propres traits. L'Eternel arrache aux ennemis leurs propres armes pour les tourner contre eux-mêmes : cela rappelle 1Samuel 14.20 et 2Chroniques 20.23. De même il est dit aussi que, lorsque la dernière puissance terrestre trouvera la ruine dans sa lutte contre Dieu (Ezéchiel 38.21 ; Zacharie 14.13), les ennemis se détruiront par la main les uns des autres.

Me disperser. Le prophète ne parle pas en son nom personnel (on ne disperse pas une personne) ; le me est évidemment collectif : ce sont les fidèles de son peuple.

Les misérables : les pieux Israélites qui sont vraiment le peuple de Dieu.
