Jérémie n'avait pas plus repoussé que recherché la vocation de pasteur (prophète).

A ta suite : pour répéter les paroles de Jéhova.

Je n'ai pas désiré... Il n'a pas pris plaisir à la menace. Preuve en était sa fidèle et constante intercession, si souvent repoussée.

Ce qui est sorti de mes lèvres... Je n'ai rien dit qui me fût inspiré par la passion. Ma parole n'a été que la tienne.

      5 "Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations."
      6 Then I said, "Ah, Lord Yahweh! Behold, I don't know how to speak; for I am a child."
