Jérémie 32.40

Je conclurai avec eux une alliance éternelle, d’après laquelle je ne renoncerai plus à eux mais leur ferai du bien et mettrai la crainte qui m’est due dans leur cœur, pour qu'ils ne se détournent plus de moi.

World English Bible and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.

Ma crainte : Ce mot remplace ma loi dans 31.33. La vraie crainte de Dieu se confond avec l'amour de la volonté divine exprimée dans la loi.

Afin qu'ils ne se détournent point de moi. Cette vraie crainte conduit et unit l'homme à Dieu, au lieu de l'éloigner de lui.

      Genèse 17
