Jérémie 49.19

Comme un lion monte des halliers du Jourdain (voyez 12.5, note), ainsi Nébucadnetsar montera contre Edom, qui sera pour lui une proie riche et facile. Edom lui-même est comparé an troupeau qui se disperse à l'approche du lion, et dont le berger (le roi) n'est pas capable de résister au conquérant qui arrive au nom et avec la force de Dieu. Ces chétifs moutons seront saisis et traînés à la boucherie (verset 20).
