World English Bible I will scatter them also among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.

L'épée après eux : par exemple, après ceux d'entre eux qui s'enfuiront en Egypte. Comparez 42.16 et 44.1-30. Combien d'autres furent massacrés sur le chemin de l'exil !

Jusqu'à ce que... Cette menace ne concernait que les impies. Ce passage est une reproduction de Lévitique 26.33 et Deutéronome 28.64.
