Déchirez vos cœurs et non vos vêtements, Et revenez à l’Éternel, votre Dieu ; Car il fait grâce, Il est compatissant, Lent à la colère Et riche en bienveillance, Et il regrette le malheur qu’il envoie.
Tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity.
