3 à 6 Ordres relatifs aux sacrifices pour le peuple.

Aux fils dIsraël : aux Anciens et, en leur personne, à tout le peuple. C'étaient eux qui devaient fournir les victimes pour cette seconde série de sacrifices.

Un bouc : c'est la victime prescrite pour les sacrifices pour le péché offerts en faveur du peuple (4.23).

Un veau et un agneau : deux victimes pour l'holocauste, qui pourtant n'est pas considérable, en comparaison des holocaustes offerts par le peuple dans de grands jours de fête (Nombres 28.11 ; 29.2). C'est que ce jour n'a point le caractère d'un jour de réjouissance ; c'est pourquoi aussi (verset 4) le sacrifice d'actions de grâces ne se compose que d'un taureau et d'un bélier. Mais si les victimes sont peu abondantes, ces sacrifices n'en forment pas moins un cycle complet et constituent ainsi le culte plénier destiné à préparer l'éclatante manifestation du bon plaisir de l'Eternel qui doit le couronner (verset 6).
