Alors : au temps de la calamité déjà annoncée 2.3-4.

Il ne les exaucera point... Comparez Esaïe 1.15 ; Jérémie 11.11 ; Proverbes 1.28. Contre les faux prophètes, séducteurs du peuple. Michée décrit en opposition l'activité des vrais prophètes, dont il est le représentant (verset 8).

Développement de ce qui a été déjà dit des faux prophètes, 2.6,11.

Qui égarent : en promettant, pourvu qu'on les paie, paix et prospérité aux particuliers ou au peuple, au lieu de leur dénoncer, comme le vrai serviteur de Dieu, leurs péchés (verset 8). Comparez Esaïe 9.13-15, notes ; Ezéchiel 13.8-10 ; Jérémie 23.16-17.

Quand leurs dents... Ces mots expriment l'avidité de, ces gens, toujours prêts à parler selon le vœu des grands qui les nourrissent.

Déclarent la guerre : annoncent la vengeance de Dieu à quiconque est trop pauvre ou trop intègre pour les acheter.
