Néhémie 12.27

Toutes nos villes et toutes nos maisons, doivent porter « l'empreinte » de la sainteté de Dieu. Le croyant ne devrait rien entreprendre, sans une consécration préalable au Seigneur. Nous devons « nettoyer nos mains » et purifier nos cœurs, avant de nous engager dans le service divin. Ceux qui désirent se vouer à la sanctification des autres, doivent d'abord se purifier eux-mêmes et se « mettre à part » pour le Seigneur. Pour les rachetés en Christ, tout leur être et tous leurs plaisirs, doivent être sains.

Dans ce texte, nous pouvons voir que le peuple d'Israël s'est particulièrement réjoui. Toutes les grâces qu'une communauté peut recevoir, doivent être l'objet de louanges, adressées à Dieu publiquement.
