Aucun étranger. Ce terme comprend ici tout homme qui n'est pas de la race d'Aaron ; voir Lévitique 22.10, note. Un tel homme, même Israélite, même Lévite, est un étranger quant au sacerdoce et spécialement à l'encensement sur l'autel, privilège caractéristique des sacrificateurs.
