13 et 14 Israël a été traité bien plus doucement que son ancêtre. Celui-ci dut s'enfuir seul à l'étranger pour chercher sa femme, et pour l'obtenir il dut garder les troupeaux, tandis qu'Israël a été ramené de la terre étrangère pour entrer en Canaan, et il a été constamment gardé par un prophète (Moïse).
