World English Bible Take words with you, and return to Yahweh. Tell him, "Forgive all our sins, and accept that which is good: so we offer our lips like bulls.

Prenez des paroles : comme on fait d'un présent qu'on offre à un roi. Ce sont des paroles d'humiliation et de reconnaissance, comme il ressort de ce qui suit.

Dites-lui, Dieu dicte d'avance les paroles qu'Israël doit lui apporter, comme pour lui indiquer les sentiments du cœur qui le rendront agréable à ses yeux.

Ote toute l'iniquité : ôter l'iniquité signifie à la fois la pardonner et la détruire. En reconnaissance de ce bienfait, Israël promet d'offrir en guise d'holocaustes (taureaux) des actions de grâce ; littéralement : Nous t'offrirons en retour pour taureaux nos lèvres.
