Tite 2

    • La juste doctrine

      1 But say the things which fit sound doctrine,

      2 that older men should be temperate, sensible, sober minded, sound in faith, in love, and in patience:

      3 and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;

      4 that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

      5 to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God's word may not be blasphemed.

      6 Likewise, exhort the younger men to be sober minded;

      7 in all things showing yourself an example of good works; in your teaching showing integrity, seriousness, incorruptibility,

      8 and soundness of speech that can't be condemned; that he who opposes you may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say about us.

      9 Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters, and to be well-pleasing in all things; not contradicting;

      10 not stealing, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.

      11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,

      12 instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world;

      13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ;

      14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.

      15 Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no man despise you.

      1 Σὺ δὲ λάλει ἃ πρέπει τῇ ὑγιαινούσῃ διδασκαλίᾳ.

      2 πρεσβύτας νηφαλίους εἶναι, σεμνούς, σώφρονας, ὑγιαίνοντας τῇ πίστει, τῇ ἀγάπῃ, τῇ ὑπομονῇ.

      3 Πρεσβύτιδας ὡσαύτως ἐν καταστήματι ἱεροπρεπεῖς, μὴ διαβόλους μηδὲ οἴνῳ πολλῷ δεδουλωμένας, καλοδιδασκάλους,

      4 ἵνα σωφρονίζωσι τὰς νέας φιλάνδρους εἶναι, φιλοτέκνους,

      5 σώφρονας, ἁγνάς, οἰκουργούς, ἀγαθάς, ὑποτασσομένας τοῖς ἰδίοις ἀνδράσιν, ἵνα μὴ ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ βλασφημῆται.

      6 Τοὺς νεωτέρους ὡσαύτως παρακάλει σωφρονεῖν·

      7 περὶ πάντα σεαυτὸν παρεχόμενος τύπον καλῶν ἔργων, ἐν τῇ διδασκαλίᾳ ἀφθορίαν, σεμνότητα,

      8 λόγον ὑγιῆ ἀκατάγνωστον, ἵνα ὁ ἐξ ἐναντίας ἐντραπῇ μηδὲν ἔχων λέγειν περὶ ἡμῶν φαῦλον.

      9 Δούλους ἰδίοις δεσπόταις ὑποτάσσεσθαι ἐν πᾶσιν, εὐαρέστους εἶναι, μὴ ἀντιλέγοντας,

      10 μὴ νοσφιζομένους, ἀλλὰ πᾶσαν πίστιν ἐνδεικνυμένους ἀγαθήν, ἵνα τὴν διδασκαλίαν τὴν τοῦ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν θεοῦ κοσμῶσιν ἐν πᾶσιν.

      11 Ἐπεφάνη γὰρ ἡ χάρις τοῦ θεοῦ σωτήριος πᾶσιν ἀνθρώποις

      12 παιδεύουσα ἡμᾶς, ἵνα ἀρνησάμενοι τὴν ἀσέβειαν καὶ τὰς κοσμικὰς ἐπιθυμίας σωφρόνως καὶ δικαίως καὶ εὐσεβῶς ζήσωμεν ἐν τῷ νῦν αἰῶνι,

      13 προσδεχόμενοι τὴν μακαρίαν ἐλπίδα καὶ ἐπιφάνειαν τῆς δόξης τοῦ μεγάλου θεοῦ καὶ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ,

      14 ὃς ἔδωκεν ἑαυτὸν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν ἵνα λυτρώσηται ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ πάσης ἀνομίας καὶ καθαρίσῃ ἑαυτῷ λαὸν περιούσιον, ζηλωτὴν καλῶν ἔργων.

      15 Ταῦτα λάλει καὶ παρακάλει καὶ ἔλεγχε μετὰ πάσης ἐπιταγῆς· μηδείς σου περιφρονείτω.
    • La juste doctrine

      1 Mais toi, annonce les choses qui conviennent au sain enseignement :

      2 que les vieillards soient sobres, graves, sages, sains dans la foi, dans l'amour, dans la patience.

      3 De même, que les femmes âgées soient, dans toute leur manière d'être, comme il convient à de saintes femmes, -ni médisantes, ni asservies à beaucoup de vin, enseignant de bonnes choses,

      4 afin qu'elles instruisent les jeunes femmes à aimer leurs maris, à aimer leurs enfants,

      5 à être sages, pures, occupées des soins de la maison, bonnes, soumises à leurs propres maris, afin que la parole de Dieu ne soit pas blasphémée.

      6 Exhorte de même les jeunes hommes à être sobres,

      7 te montrant toi-même en toutes choses un modèle de bonnes oeuvres, faisant preuve dans l'enseignement, de pureté de doctrine,

      8 de gravité, de parole saine qu'on ne peut condamner, afin que celui qui s'oppose ait honte, n'ayant rien de mauvais à dire de nous.

      9 Exhorte les esclaves à être soumis à leurs propres maîtres, à leur complaire en toutes choses, n'étant pas contredisants ;

      10 ne détournant rien, mais montrant toute bonne fidélité, afin qu'ils ornent en toutes choses l'enseignement qui est de notre Dieu sauveur.

      11 Car la grâce de Dieu qui apporte le salut est apparue à tous les hommes,

      12 nous enseignant que, reniant l'impiété et les convoitises mondaines, nous vivions dans le présent siècle sobrement, et justement, et pieusement,

      13 attendant la bienheureuse espérance et l'apparition de la gloire de notre grand Dieu et Sauveur Jésus Christ,

      14 qui s'est donné lui-même pour nous, afin qu'il nous rachetât de toute iniquité et qu'il purifiât pour lui-même un peuple acquis, zélé pour les bonnes oeuvres.

      15 Annonce ces choses, exhorte et reprends, avec toute autorité de commander. Que personne ne te méprise.
    • La juste doctrine

      1 Mais toi, enseigne ce qui est conforme à la juste doctrine.

      2 Dis aux vieillards d’être sobres, respectables, raisonnables et fermes dans la foi véritable, l’amour et la patience.

      3 De même, dis aux femmes âgées de se conduire en personnes qui mènent une vie sainte. Elles doivent éviter les propos malveillants et ne pas être esclaves du vin. Qu’elles donnent de bons conseils ;

      4 qu’elles apprennent aux jeunes femmes à aimer leur mari et leurs enfants,

      5 à être raisonnables et pures, à prendre soin de leur ménage, à être bonnes et soumises à leur mari, afin que personne ne fasse insulte à la parole de Dieu.

      6 De même, exhorte les jeunes gens à être raisonnables

      7 à tous égards. Toi-même, tu dois donner l’exemple d’actions bonnes. Que ton enseignement soit authentique et sérieux.

      8 Que tes paroles soient justes, indiscutables, afin que tes adversaires soient tout honteux de n’avoir aucun mal à dire de nous.

      9 Que les esclaves soient soumis à leurs maîtres en toutes choses, qu’ils leur soient agréables. Qu’ils évitent de les contredire

      10 ou de leur dérober quoi que ce soit. Qu’ils se montrent toujours parfaitement bons et fidèles, afin de faire honneur en tout à l’enseignement de Dieu notre Sauveur.

      11 Car Dieu a révélé sa grâce, source de salut pour tous les humains.

      12 Elle nous enseigne à renoncer à une mauvaise conduite et aux désirs terrestres, pour mener dans ce monde une vie raisonnable, juste et fidèle à Dieu.

      13 C’est ainsi que nous devons attendre le bonheur que nous espérons et le jour où apparaîtra la gloire de notre grand Dieu et Sauveur Jésus-Christ.

      14 Il s’est donné lui-même pour nous, pour nous délivrer de tout mal et faire de nous un peuple purifié qui lui appartienne en propre et qui soit zélé pour faire des actions bonnes.

      15 Voilà ce que tu dois enseigner, en usant de toute ton autorité pour encourager tes auditeurs ou leur adresser des reproches. Que personne ne te méprise.

      Psaumes 4

      3 But know that Yahweh has set apart for himself him who is godly: Yahweh will hear when I call to him.

      Psaumes 105

      45 that they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise Yah!

      Esaïe 55

      6 Seek Yahweh while he may be found; call you on him while he is near:
      7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

      Ezéchiel 18

      30 Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways, says the Lord Yahweh. Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
      31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, in which you have transgressed; and make yourself a new heart and a new spirit: for why will you die, house of Israel?

      Ezéchiel 33

      14 Again, when I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
      15 if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that which he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.

      Ezéchiel 36

      27 I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my ordinances, and do them.

      Matthieu 3

      8 Therefore bring forth fruit worthy of repentance!
      9 Don't think to yourselves, 'We have Abraham for our father,' for I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
      10 "Even now the axe lies at the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that doesn't bring forth good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire.

      Matthieu 5

      19 Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
      20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

      Matthieu 16

      24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

      Matthieu 28

      20 teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

      Luc 1

      6 They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.
      75 In holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life.

      Luc 3

      9 Even now the axe also lies at the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that doesn't bring forth good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire."
      10 The multitudes asked him, "What then must we do?"
      11 He answered them, "He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise."
      12 Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, "Teacher, what must we do?"
      13 He said to them, "Collect no more than that which is appointed to you."

      Jean 6

      25 When they found him on the other side of the sea, they asked him, "Rabbi, when did you come here?"

      Jean 14

      30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in me.

      Jean 17

      14 I have given them your word. The world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
      15 I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.

      Actes 24

      16 Herein I also practice always having a conscience void of offense toward God and men.
      25 As he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, "Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you."

      Romains 6

      4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
      5 For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;
      6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
      12 Therefore don't let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
      19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh, for as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification.

      Romains 8

      13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

      Romains 12

      2 Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

      Romains 13

      12 The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let's therefore throw off the works of darkness, and let's put on the armor of light.
      13 Let us walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy.

      1 Corinthiens 6

      9 Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,
      10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God.
      11 Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

      2 Corinthiens 1

      12 For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

      2 Corinthiens 7

      1 Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

      Galates 1

      4 who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father--

      Galates 5

      24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

      Ephésiens 1

      4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love;

      Ephésiens 2

      2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience;

      Ephésiens 4

      22 that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man, that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit;
      23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
      24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
      25 Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.

      Colossiens 1

      22 yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and blameless before him,

      Colossiens 3

      5 Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;
      6 for which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
      7 You also once walked in those, when you lived in them;
      8 but now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.
      9 Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,

      1 Thessaloniciens 4

      7 For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.
      9 But concerning brotherly love, you have no need that one write to you. For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,

      1 Timothée 4

      12 Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.

      1 Timothée 6

      17 Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;

      2 Timothée 3

      12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

      2 Timothée 4

      10 for Demas left me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.

      Tite 2

      12 instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world;

      Tite 3

      3 For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

      Hébreux 8

      11 They will not teach every man his fellow citizen, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for all will know me, from their least to their greatest.

      Jacques 4

      8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
      9 Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom.
      10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.

      1 Pierre 1

      14 as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,
      15 but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior;
      16 because it is written, "You shall be holy; for I am holy."
      17 If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man's work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear:
      18 knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,

      1 Pierre 2

      11 Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
      12 having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they see, glorify God in the day of visitation.

      1 Pierre 4

      2 that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
      3 For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.
      4 They think it is strange that you don't run with them into the same excess of riot, blaspheming:
      5 who will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

      2 Pierre 1

      4 by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.
      5 Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge;
      6 and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control patience; and in patience godliness;
      7 and in godliness brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.
      8 For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to be not idle nor unfruitful to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

      2 Pierre 2

      9 the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment;
      20 For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
      21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
      22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, "The dog turns to his own vomit again," and "the sow that has washed to wallowing in the mire."

      2 Pierre 3

      11 Therefore since all these things will be destroyed like this, what kind of people ought you to be in holy living and godliness,

      1 Jean 2

      6 he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.
      15 Don't love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love isn't in him.
      16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn't the Father's, but is the world's.
      17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God's will remains forever.
      27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

      1 Jean 5

      19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

      Jude 1

      18 They said to you that "In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts."

      Apocalypse 14

      12 Here is the patience of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."
