World English Bible For on the day you go out, and pass over the brook Kidron, know for certain that you shall surely die: your blood shall be on your own head."

Torrent du Cédron. Ce torrent bien connu (2Samuel 15.23), maintenant desséché, coulait au fond du ravin qui sépare la ville de Jérusalem, et en particulier la colline du temple, de la montagne des Oliviers, limite Est de la banlieue de Jérusalem. Cette frontière est mentionnée, plutôt que celle du sud ou du nord, parce que Bahurim, la patrie de Siméi, était située de ce côté et que pour s'y rendre, il fallait passer le Cédron.

Ton sang sera sur ta tête : Si lu meurs, tu ne pourras t'en prendre qu'à toi-même.
