Et maintenant. Cette expression indique un changement de ton ; Daniel va conclure, en demandant à Dieu non pas directement de pardonner les péchés à son peuple, mais d'avoir pitié de lui-même et de sa gloire.

Qui as tiré ton peuple. Il s'appuie sur un fait éclatant de la puissance de Dieu dans le passé.

Nous avons fait le mal : c'est un fait certain, mais qui ne doit pas t'empêcher d'avoir souci de ton sanctuaire et de ta ville.
