Vous n'aurez point égard à l'apparence de la personne, dans le jugement ; vous écouterez le petit comme le grand ; vous ne craindrez personne, car le jugement est à Dieu ; et vous ferez venir devant moi la cause qui sera trop difficile pour vous, et je l'entendrai.

Lejugement est de Dieu. C'est la justice divine qui se prononce par la sentence des juges ; de là l'expression : faire venir devant Dieu, pour citer devant les juges (Exode 21.6) ; comparez Psaumes 82.6 ; 2Chroniques 19.6 ; Jean 10.34.
