Og était un roi très puissant ; en cherchant à faire un pacte avec Israël, il n'a pas tenu compte de la défaite que les Hébreux avaient infligée à Sihon. Ce roi comptait sur ses propres forces et cet endurcissement du cœur causa sa perte.

Ceux qui sont insensibles aux jugements du ciel sont exposés à subir le châtiment de l'Éternel.
