Esaïe 11.10

10 à 16 La conversion des païens et le rétablissement d'Israël.

La racine d'Isaï : la race de David ; ici : le Messie, qui en est le représentant le plus glorieux ; comparez verset 1 ; Apocalypse 5.5 ; et 22.16 : la racine de David.

Elevée comme étendard... La gloire du Messie se répandra jusqu'aux extrémités du monde : il sera l'étendard autour duquel se rassembleront les païens. Comparez Michée 5.3 ; Esaïe 2.2-3 ; Romains 15.12 ; Jean 12.32.

Ne sera que gloire. La splendeur du Messie illuminera toute sa résidence (4.2,5 ; comparez 60.19 ; 66.18 et suivants).

Quand l'évangile sera librement prêché, sans aucune limitation, les Gentils chercheront alors Jésus-Christ, en tant que Seigneur et Sauveur, afin de trouver du repos pour leur âme.

Quand le temps marqué par l'Éternel, pour affranchir Son peuple, sera arrivé, les « montagnes de l'opposition » deviendront alors devant Lui, de simples plaines ! Dieu peut rapidement transformer des jours sombres en jours glorieux. Et tandis que nous attendons que le Seigneur rassemble le « peuple élu » et la totalité des « Gentils », pour les faire entrer en toute plénitude, dans Son église, quand tous seront unis dans Son Amour, nous, les rachetés, pourront alors « marcher » ensemble, dans la sainteté.

Sachons bénéficier de la Miséricorde de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, pour la vie éternelle ; portons nos regards vers Lui, afin d'être prêts à passer victorieusement l'épreuve de la mort, ce « fleuve » qui sépare la terre, du monde éternel.
