World English Bible Yahweh will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the descent of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, storm, and hailstones.

La voix de l'Eternel est le tonnerre (29.6 ; Psaumes 29.1-11).

Son bras qui s'abaisse : pour frapper (verset 31). Comparez 11.15.

La grêle : littéralement les pierres de grêle, les grêlons. Le prophète revient à l'image de l'orage (verset 27) : tonnerre, éclairs, averses, grêle. On connaît, en Orient, des grêles qui renversent les maisons et anéantissent une localité. Comparez Josué 10.11.
