Reviendront... en Sion... comparez 26.1-2.

Couronnera leur tête. L'image est tirée de l'usage de se couronner de fleurs dans les fêtes (28.1, note). L'expression une allégresse éternelle nous transporte en plein dans la nouvelle création déjà annoncée 25.8. Comparez 51.11 (où notre verset est reproduit textuellement) et Apocalypse 21.4-6.

Les promesses de ce chapitre se retrouvent dans plusieurs des discours de Jésus, prises dans un sens spirituel ; il semble être dans l'Ancien Testament l'un des points lumineux sur lesquels aimait à s'arrêter la pensée du Sauveur.
