Le même Dieu qui a créé le ciel, séjour de la sainteté parfaite, pour y avoir une demeure digne de lui, ne dédaigne pas d'habiter dans le cœur même du pécheur, s'il s'humilie. L'humiliation remplacera aux yeux du Seigneur la sainteté qui manque encore à l'homme, et sa présence créera un ciel intérieur de paix et de joie dans l'âme auparavant privée de consolation. Comparez 66.2 ; Matthieu 5.2-3.
