Ceux qui guident ce peuple l'égarent. Il va de soi qu'en égarant les autres, ils se perdent eux-mêmes : le guide et le guidé tombent tous deux dans la fosse (Matthieu 15.14).

Nos anciennes traductions disent, au lieu de :
ceux qui guident, et ceux qui sont guidés :
ceux qui font accroire à ce peuple qu'il sera heureux, et ceux auxquels on fait accroire qu'ils seront heureux.
Sens qui est possible, mais qui revient au même que le nôtre, puisque c'était par de fausses promesses de bonheur que les prophètes menteurs égaraient le peuple.
