Mon habitation. Ce terme dit en un sens plus que celui de sanctuaire. Après que le nouveau sanctuaire aura été élevé, Dieu ne le laissera pas vide ; il en fera son habitation, comme de l'ancien.

Au-dessus d'eux : allusion à la situation du temple sur la montagne de Sion, d'où cet édifice dominait la ville. Mais la pensée réelle est celle de la vivante présence du Seigneur, qui planera sur son peuple.

Je serai leur Dieu... Comparez Lévitique 26.12.
