Ezéchiel 37.7

Je dis ces paroles de la part du SEIGNEUR, comme il me l’a commandé. Pendant que je parle, j’entends un grand bruit, celui d’objets qui remuent : les os se rapprochent les uns des autres.

7 et 8 Exécution de la première partie de l'ordre divin.

Le son est celui qui résulte du mouvement subit de tous ces os inanimés, et le bruit retentissant est celui qu'ils produisent en s'emboîtant pour former des squelettes. Ces squelettes, une fois reconstitués, en se couvrant de muscles qu'enveloppe aussitôt une chair revêtue de peau, arrivent à l'état de cadavres.
