Ezéchiel 45.1

1 à 17 Les offrandes d'Israël.

Ces offrandes sont de deux sortes :

  1. une portion du pays, qui doit être prélevée comme propriété de l'Eternel, versets 1 à 12 ; c'est la dîme nationale
  2. les dîmes particulières que chaque Israélite doit prélever sur les revenus de sa propriété personnelle, versets 13 à 17.

1 à 12 L'offrande nationale.

1 à 4 La portion destinée aux sacrificateurs (Figure 9,A, chapitre 48).

Lorsque vous partagerez : C'est une nouvelle répartition du pays que le prophète a en vue, correspondant à celle qui eut lieu sous Josué. Comme autrefois Moïse (Nombres 34.1-29), Ezéchiel dispose de la Terre sainte avant même qu'elle soit occupée par le peuple.

Au sort : lorsque la répartition du territoire de chaque tribu, aura lieu entre les familles.

Vingt-cinq mille : à sous-entendre ici, comme toujours quand le nom de la mesure n'est pas indiqué, le terme coudées, qui convient parfaitement, quoi qu'en pensent la plupart des interprètes. Cela faisait un rectangle de 14 kilomètres de longueur (de l'est à l'ouest) et de 5 à 6 kilomètres de largeur (du nord au sud).

- Durant la période prophétique décrite dans ce texte, le culte d’adoration sera rétabli, et les serviteurs de Dieu seront présents pour le diriger ; les princes d’Israël régiront le pays avec justice, comme s’ils dépendaient directement de Christ ; le peuple vivra en paix, dans l’aisance et la dévotion.

Ces détails semblent être représentés dans les coutumes et le langage relatifs à la période où le prophète a écrit son livre.

Christ est notre « Pâque » : Il a été sacrifié pour nous ; nous célébrons le mémorial de ce sacrifice, et fêtons ce jour particulier, qui représente le triomphe de notre Sauveur sur la mort et par là, notre affranchissement de « l'esclavage d’Égypte », à savoir, du péché ; cette Pâque nous préserve également de l'épée de destruction de la Justice divine ; nous la commémorons lorsque nous prenons le repas du Seigneur. Durant toute notre vie chrétienne, nous devrions nous nourrir avec du « pain sans levain » (le levain symbolisant le péché*), tout en vivant dans la sincérité et la vérité !
